"And we need to reign in monopoly utility companies." - understatement. It doesn't make any sense that utility companies are investable entities that expect profit growth. The only mechanisms they have to increase profits are to raise rates and reduce services. (efficiency should have bottomed out already) - They should not be allowed in private equity or public stock portfolios. The requirement to treat the company as a product for investors creates an immediate conflict of interest.
I continue to wonder why candidates have not established a platform to take away the cap for social security. Why are all people over a certain income not taxed at a higher rate?
