Agree they ought not to be…but how many ‘reps’ or ‘lobbyists’ are all about the Benjamins? I don’t mean Franklin.

One problem with Conley: She perpetuates the lie that there is a genocide in Gaza. The word "genocide" has been redefined to apply to Israel alone. It used to mean an attempt to wipe out a group of people based on race, religion, ethnicity, etc. When applied to Israel it means a lot of people being killed as Israel defends itself against Iran funded terrorists like Hamas and Hezbollah. Remember when over 800,000 Japanese were killed in WWII? If the new definition of genocide were applied, the US and our allies would be guilty. Since it only applies to Israel, it's called antisemitism.

Lobbyists and special interests have been allowed so much influence that voters interests are meaningless. Roger Stone was a corrupt lobbyist and was convicted. Trump pardoned him. Loop holes, special interests and Citizens United all combine to render voting meaningless. Wake up America. Honest politicians are struggling to compete against a corrupt system. No PACS, no loopholes, no Citizens United, will challenge bullshit. Vote for any candidates that declare their independence from PACS and promise clear goals to become elected. Trump has made dishonesty his normal behavior. Confusion is always nearby when Trump makes decisions. The Supreme Court lives in a legalistic bubble and cares nothing about democratic reality. Merrick Garland, did NOTHING as AG for Biden, and was immersed in his pedantic law research and review while Trump was planning to rape democracy. Progressive candidates committed to infrastructure, fair taxation, laws and a balanced budget will get my vote as I lose confidence daily that Trump will not interfere with elections.

"And we need to reign in monopoly utility companies." - understatement. It doesn't make any sense that utility companies are investable entities that expect profit growth. The only mechanisms they have to increase profits are to raise rates and reduce services. (efficiency should have bottomed out already) - They should not be allowed in private equity or public stock portfolios. The requirement to treat the company as a product for investors creates an immediate conflict of interest.
