Senator Hickenlooper was elected Mayor of Denver in 2003. He then served as Governor of Colorado from 2011 to 2019. During his tenure, he expanded health care to half a million Coloradans, established climate pollution limits that served as a national model, and enacted commonsense gun safety measures. As a Senator, he serves on several committees including Energy & Natural Resources; Health, Education, Labor, & Pensions (HELP); Commerce, Science, & Transportation; and Small Business & Entrepreneurship. He’s committed to addressing climate change, protecting small businesses, and lowering health care costs. From traveling the state to sit down with farmers and small business owners to chairing committee hearings in Washington, Senator Hickenlooper serves in the Senate with the appreciation that when he casts a vote, he represents all of Colorado.
