It is more proof that The Fapweasel (Trump) doesn’t care about the average American, and if you aren’t a citizen, he really doesn’t care about you. We really need Medicare for All.

I agree with Medicare in theory but how are you going to pay for it? We already have no money as it is. I am also worried that if we socialize more of our healthy, the quality will decrease quickly.

Bernie Sanders figured it all out. He wrote the bill and worked out all the details. What he proposed was to tax the 1%, the richest people in the country, and make them pay income tax at the same rate as The Middle Class. That would provided enough money to fund Medicare for All, fund Social Security, and other things, like education. Bernie is a very pragmatic person, unlike our mush for brains president who has no idea how to save up for anything because he never had to. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He never even had to look for a job. It was all handed to him.

Unless you are proposing some massive wealth tax, taxing the 1% even all 95% of their income would not generate enough money to fix the debt. Again, I agree with these programs in principal in many cases, but we don’t have the money. https://manhattan.institute/article/the-limits-of-taxing-the-rich?utm_source=chatgpt.com

Do you know how little tax wealthy people pay compared to how much they earn? Also there is the wealth of corporations like Amazon,Tesla, and other huge companies who pay a pittance in taxes. It’s not just individuals. Do you realize how much CEOs get paid compared to the rest of the workers? This is one of the reasons that workers are clamoring for a union and executives are fighting them tooth and nail. Big companies make sure their low level employees work less than 40 hours a week, so they are considered part time, & don’t get benefits like group insurance 401K plans, in some cases paid sick days. Walmart shows its low level employees how to apply for SNAP instead of paying them a living wage. They are making the government pay so they can pay their employees low salaries.

By percentage, yes I agree the loopholes need to be changed. I just made a post about it with the Robinhood Act a couple days ago if you’re interest. I also am all in favor of fixing all the problems you laid out as well. Our economy is not made to help all employees but rather the investors, which usually comes into the 401k of most people. I am not sure which way l ran yet, but would you prefer that employees are paid more if the stock market produces 4% a year as opposed to 10%?

They could give their employees shares in the company. It worked for Microsoft.

Democrats didn’t want to endorse a populist.

I knew the GOP, Trump, Putin would attempt to make Mamdani the face of the Democratic Party.

And as we see the far left is also trying to make him the face of the party.

So we have another one of those scenarios where the far right and the far left are working together.

A strange situation where you have two populist movements working together for different reasons.

The GOP will use it, because it may be their only hope to hold Congress.

70% of people have a negative view of socialism.. 97% of independent voters have a negative view.

The far left will use it because they think their populist movement is nationwide. That’s where the far left and the far right are naïve. They’re positive that they’re right and there can be no argument.

I remember speaking to somebody who was a big Jeremy Corbin fan. Told me that Corbin would win, because “everybody I know is gonna vote for him.” I had to laugh. The far left and the far right ignore the sentiment of the people. Because they can’t see beyond their cult. They are cults. And both movements can turn to fanaticism, unless

opposition is allowed and considered legitimate.

Leaders are willing to compromise. The movement recognizes that society is diverse.

That doesn’t sound like the far left, and certainly not the far right.

I can see the far left, annoying people to the point where Democrats might take the house, but for certain will not take the senate. When I talk to them, they are giddy about winning both, and even to the point of a major majority to impeach Trump.

I would love that, but I think they’ll only help him.

The anti-Trump movement was nationwide, but they think it was all about them. It wasn’t.

But in any case we’re not getting rid of Trump for another three years. Unless you think you can turn the Republicans against him. That might’ve been a possibility, but not now.

Just saying.
